and the Stingrays Review Page
Launching into a string of rockabilly classics like At the Hop and The Twist,
the quartet effectively turned their opening slot into a 1950s jukebox,
which elicited broad smiles and composed applause.
The set boasted an obvious disconnect for younger adults
but overcame the age gap with an enthusiasm that blew the zeitgeist gateway wide open."
You've made a huge impression! Thanks for making his weekend. All the best
"I noticed on Eddy & the Stingrays calendar that they are playing for you on June 9th 2012.
I just saw them 2 weeks ago in Russell. These guys are an amazing 50's 60's band.
The show in Russell was A1. Everyone that came to see the show was dressed in 60's clothes.
The band danced in synch as they played, just like back in the 60's. It was like being in the movie American Graffiti.
I'm thinking of going to your [event] to see them again. Just to let you know what to expect."
"Opening act Eddy & the Stingrays answered this to a degree, causing an immediate stir
by walking out in hot-pink blazers and with pale green instruments.
"…..thank you and the band for making my birthday party so fun.
I’ve received several e-mails from guests saying how much they enjoyed the music.
Even folks who didn’t get up to dance had fun watching Eddy and the Stingrays do their “stuff”.
Hi Eddy and the gang,
"I want to personally thank you and the band for a spectacular performance and also for being great guys. We had nothing but 100% compliments for and about the band all evening and yesterday as well. Even the pyromaniacs around the fire pit were complimenting you" !!! "Thanks again and we will contact you for the next one".

"Rotary Fest made over $11K this year - a NEW record.
You guys were fantastic and everyone had a great time".
Dear Eddy and the Stingrays,
A heartfelt thank-you for making our party such a success. The music that you entertain us with is wonderful and brings back such great memories of when we were growing up. Also thank-you for singing the "Happy Birthday" for D... and G….. That was such a nice touch. We wish you continued success in your future engagements and hope to have you again soon in the future.

So good to hear you and the band are doing so well.
I picked up a copy of "BOUNDER" magazine and saw the write up .
I so well remember your early days in Ottawa.
I have been driving a transport truck for over 38 years now ....
I came to see you at Arnold's on Rideau Street every night you played with a buddy of mine.
You might remember us as the bike riding, beer guzzling pair who always wanted to do Teenager in Love with you guys...
you let us a couple times - that is make fools of ourselves... ahahaha!! It was a blast.
How is that for going back in time?
I will definitely be coming to see you and the band in Richmond on the 18 of September.
So good to know you didn't fall off the world. Thanks for the memories; see you soon ".

Ed and the Stingrays have probably logged 1,000,000 miles, and with it, entertaining a "gazillion" adoring fans who love being taken through decades (not just 2-3 years) of powerful life changing songs we all listened to in the early days. Either in our car's as teens, as younger kids on our parents stereo or live if you were fortunate enough in ... Read Morethe day.
Always enjoy their gigs, noticing, they haven't lost steam over the years, much like the very songs they entertain us with, each and every show.
Love to see them up here in Lindsay for a return trip some day soon.
Rock and Roll it!!

My husband and I have never attended a performance at the Aylmer Marina before last Saturday evening. My sister-in-law had invited us to go with them to listen to '50's music'. We are so glad that we had gone. We only stayed for the 1st set - which in itself was great since my husband usually cannot sit for long because of his back. As we walked home we heard you begin your second set and we both wished we could have stayed longer. We did purchase a tee-shirt for our youngest son and also a CD which we plan to play often.
That aside - What a great performance you do! Thank you so very much for such an entertaining and enjoyable evening. We definitely will watch for and attend any other performance you might have within the Outaouais area.
Thank you again.

"This rock ‘n roll band is one of the Ottawa area’s most popular and most enduring show bands,
known for their classic songs and their musicianship which allows them to pay tribute to
the great beach bands and all-time great songs".
Stittsville News - July, 2009
"Fun, Fun, Fun" is the best way to describe Eddy & The Stingrays.
After 29 years as a working and touring band, Eddy Fontana, Buddy Love,
Frankie California and Romeo Smooth can still get audiences to laugh, sing,
dance and jump on board with the good time music of Eddy & The Stingrays.
A joy to watch and a great bunch of guys to work and just hang out with.

You and the boys entertained at the ORVDA Convention in Ottawa last weekend (Oct.27, 2007).
My Father was there and is still raving about how much he enjoyed your band.
He is 72 so you no doubt brought back some great memories for him and he said he actually stayed
until you were finished which is pretty rare for him as he often doesn't feel well enough to stay up too late,
especially listening to a band.
I would like to thank you again for the fabulous job you did at our Friday night gala.
Everyone was having such a great time and literally dancing their socks off!!!
Thank you so much for reading the crowd and playing for so long. I don't know how you do it.
Again, please thank all the guys for the fabulous job.
I just love you guys and I'll be on the lookout for more jobs for you!
